I got most of this information from YouTube, but I'd like to share it here because there's a lot of symbolism that Oda included in this chapter with the Tarot cards which I personally found really interesting. According to this site about the tower card- https://www.biddytarot.com/tarot-card-meanings/major-arcana/tower/

These two quotes sums up it up if your too lazy
Just when you think you’re safe and comfortable, a Tower moment hits and throws you for a loop. A lightning bolt of clarity and insight cuts through the lies and illusions you have been telling yourself, and now the truth comes to light. Your world may come crashing down before you, in ways you could never have imagined as you realise that you have been building your life on unstable foundations – false assumptions, mistruths, illusions, blatant lies, and so on. Everything you thought to be true has turned on its head. You are now questioning what is real and what is not; what you can rely upon and what you cannot trust. This can be very confusing and disorienting, especially when your core belief systems are challenged. But over time, you will come to see that your original beliefs were built on a false understanding, and your new belief systems are more representative of reality.
The best way forward is to let this structure self-destruct so you can re-build and re-focus. And let’s be real – with a card like the Tower, you have no choice but to surrender to the destruction and chaos, no matter how unwanted or painful. Change on this deep level is hard, but you need to trust that life is happening FOR you, not TO you and this is all for a reason. This destruction will allow new growth to emerge and your soul can evolve.

Specifically using all this information within the context of Killer and Hawkins fight, it says a lot about the latter characterization. The character goes through life believing that having your own conviction is meaningless in the face of greater power and should always rely on your best chances of making it out alive to dictate your actions. This is the flaw of Hawkins, who in the face of a Yonko like Kaido, immediately sold his freedom and self-worth because of the danger it posed. This was an action he ended up secretly regretting, as Killer had told him this chapter.

What's interesting though is the cards meaning of also having a period of self growth after this tragic incident occurs. This may symbolize that Hawkins after realizing his beliefs were shattered after realizing people like the Straw Hats and Kid pirates are the best suited to be pirates in the world, he may at some point undergo the same mindset and possibly join their alliance, which leads to my next point.

I think it's possible that Oda is using this symbolism not just as a reflection of Hawkins, but also what it could mean for the future of the Wano arc. As said, a certain tragedy will occur that will give birth to a new and better. The first time I read the chapter, I figured that it meant the Pirate Samurai alliance will take down the Yonko and replace their throne with people like Luffy and Kid. However, it also doesn't explain where the person ends up learning from the experience to become a better person. It seems strange for this to be referring to Kaido and Big Mom. So maybe...

From my understanding, the act structure of Wano are based on Kabuki plays that have a 5 act structure. It is common in these plays for there to be some kind of tragic event taking place at the end of the 3rd act. We are currently in the Act 3, which isn't done yet. I really am hoping for this tragic event for it to be that Onigashima ends up falling on the Flower capital, and the alliance going through some kind of ''Sabaody'' moment that the Straw hats had. I don't know if it ends up being the case but it would be very cool and unpredictable. There are still a lot of unfinished plot threads in this arc, so I don't think it's out of the question that this arc will go on a bit longer than expected. Maybe the alliance here will lose and will try to get a second go at the Yonko after recuperating.

I would rather see him realize his mistake but still end up dying. He has done enough bad shit this arc that he'd feel out of place in the alliance, even after a change in character.

Yeah I'm also hoping for there to be a worthwhile tragedy with real repercussions. Everything has gone far too well at this point. At most one person has died, potentially? I hope either one of the Straw Hats dies or Kaido wins.
