Base Vegeta didn’t look considerably stronger than Gohan there, I’d say he’s weaker than Gotenks-Boo. Meanwhile Hirudegarn should probably be Gohan-Boo level at least. Hirudegarn literally stomps.

A character like Hirudegarn would be difficult to get past without being vastly stronger or having a haxed finishing move, and it's doubtful that Vegeta is even his equal. Hirudegarn squashes.

GT should follow the movies right? So base Goku should already be at least in the tier he was as SSJ3 against Hirudegarn. Depends on how strong that Goku was compared to the Kid Buu battle. How much further behind could Vegeta be?

Going off of how GT narratively starts, and its occasional showings of past scenes, it seems to just follow on from Z.

Scaling-wise, we know Base Goku could swap hands with someone that is more impressive than Majin Buu altogether. We also see that same Goku clown on opponents (Baby Gohan & Goten) that Base Vegeta couldn't handle individually. To give Vegeta some credit, he didn't appear to be hurt initially despite Gohan seemingly ragdolling him early on. But I'd be sceptical about Base Vegeta's chances against Buutenks.

Dragon Fist exists in GT, and we know Movie 5 at the very least happened similar to Movie 1 in Z filler.
