How blunt does an attack need to be to hurt Buggy? Disregard haki and seastone.

If he gets gomu gomu no bazookaed or kicked in the nuts by Nami it hurts. But what about if he got gomu gomu no muchi/whipped by Luffy (where Luffy throws a roundhouse kick). I guess that would hurt him. But what if he got karate chopped? Would that hurt or would it slice him? How blunt does the force need to be? Or is it a case of "if it doesn't cut him it hurts, if it cuts him the pain is erased"? So a gomu gomu no whip that's not generating enough force to create the pressure to naturally cut him will hurt, but one that has enough force to cut through him would not hurt?

I think that anyone who is Arlong level or stronger would one shot Buggy.
