This fight is kinda weird since it was pretty short and happens mostly off screen. Do you think it was a close one? Or was it one sided?

I am assuming this is just about Base Goku and doesn't include Kaioken Goku. Initial Base Goku and initial 4th form Freeza (in which Piccolo said that none of them were giving their all) were evenly matched with each other, but Freeza had techniques that were pretty dangerous such as Telekinesis whereas Goku's strategy of taking advantage of Freeza's inability to sense ki didn't do much. Then, when both Goku and Freeza left the warm up and base Goku began to fight seriously against no hands Freeza, I could say that no hands Freeza had an slight advantage against base Goku at best, Freeza couldn't dominate him completly, taking advantage of the situation that much and/or his gap wasn't that much for Goku's fighting skill to not matter.

It's about SSJ Goku vs Freeza. Forgot to put it in the title:sponge

But since you talked about it, I do agree they were equals in the warm up. That's exactly what Kaio says about their fight.

Goku's blows makes more damage to Freeza than Freeza's attacks to Goku, but that can also be justified due to the fact that Freeza had an even greater strain than Goku. Goku and Freeza were also trading blows during most of the fight, so Goku's advantage was a minimum one and both were pretty much close in relation to each other.

But since you talked about it, I do agree they were equals in the warm up. That's exactly what Kaio says about their fight.
Piccolo couldn't tell who had the advantage in between Goku and Freeza due to how unpredictable they were on his eyes, so I think both interpretations can be valid. Anyways, that's another topic and is something I forgot to add.

Pretty close. Goku took significant damage from Freeza's kiai and only dodged his sucker punch from behind due to sensing it beforehand, plus what won the war was ultimately attrition. I'd still say Goku was solidly above since he took Freeza's Nova Strike and still had the power to keep going, but around a 92 to 100 gap.

Granted this fight had to be a 5 minute read to match what Freeza said and give space to the rest of the plot, but I think AT didn't pace the fight very well. There's that pointless scuffle in the beginning, the beam struggle, a lot of talking about the Dragon Balls, and when they start getting real the fight ends.

As for the gap, Freeza and Goku didn't look like the fight would be ending any time soon, although Goku did get a lot more blows and was even confident in letting Freeza go. I'm seeing this more as a Goku vs Tao kind of fight.

It's pretty close. Both got in their share of attacks and Freeza was making Goku use his maximum effort. Even with max effort Goku wasn't able to bring Freeza down or really get the upper hand. He considered him a worthy enough opponent to fight hand to hand and only lost interest in the fight once Freeza's stamina had dropped considerably.

It's a big enough of a difference that Goku holds the advantage the entire fight, consistently dodging furiza's attacks and landing solid hits. But still close enough that Furiza makes him breathe heavy.

I am thinking about something like this:

SSJ Goku (Namek): 150

100% Freeza: 140

Mecha Freeza: 160

Future Android #17 (Less than half): 180

- FP: 450

SSJ Future Gohan: 225

SSJ Future Trunks: 240

SSJ Goku: 275
