do you think that show is bad and should end or that it's still worth going on?

It should have ended in May of 2015.

Yea, I do think it should end. It's obviously not going to be permanent considering the recent success of the Dragon Ball franchise. Perhaps this will give Toei, and maybe even AT/Toyotaro time to sit back and look at how cancerous their product was. Maybe the time off will help them create some decent new ideas for future stories that aren't fucking terrible.

It should have never even started.

I think 20 years is more than enough. If anything, the more time off they get, they create more shitty ideas. It's like a bet of who can create the most horrible idea.

To be fair they weren't developing these ideas over that span of time. Toriyama has made it sound like he's only been getting back into this stuff during the BoG process, so I doubt they've even thought of these plot lines any more than a few years ago.

Yeah, it show in the movies, they didn't think it would turn into an series. It wouldn't hurt if they took a year or two to develop the story instead of announcing the series debut after two months of announcing there was going to be a new series. They rush it.

The only future for Dragon ball is a reboot. The fans pretend they want new ideas, but they truly bitch about anything new even in the rare occasion it's good.

The fans want :what :rape :boy :1down , give them what they want.

Super was doomed from the start since having a constant, active plot in the time between Boo's death and the 28th TB made it something founded on retcons. The sooner it's ending was, the better. A canon GT or a next generation sequel would've been far better and would've been far easier for Toei to milk in terms of episodes due to having less restrictions with the source material.

Fuck that, Kai was just released not that long ago for that reason. And that's also false.

Reboot it and make an animated version of Evolution, with animation quality of DBS episode 5.

were the concepts and ideas shitty, or was it the execution?

Both. They took a damn year to get to the original story that we hadn't seen before. That alone set the show off on the wrong foot.

As SSJ2 said, it was both. I've already mentioned that Super retconning a lot from the last 2 chapters of the manga brought it to a rough start in the first place and taking place before a predestined event meant that there was no real tension in any of the arcs. Even as stand alone concepts that could be implemented as post-Z story arcs or ones within the manga's original run, none of the arcs can stand on their own. BoG introducing more to the God hierarchy made several of the previous deity characters seem even more incompetent or arrogant than in the series original run when Kaioshin got asspulled into the plot, not to mention that introducing prophecy through the Oracle Fish in a series that has multiple timelines makes no sense. FnF was just a watered down Freeza Arc, though at least could've worked had it been used instead of Mecha Freeza as a segway into the Cell Arc. U6 Arc was just a generic tournament and had even less stakes than the other two since all that would happen if the main cast lost would be living on a different version of Earth. Future Trunks Arc had the worst concept as it relies purely on time travel and time paradoxes, one of the worst tropes in fiction and one of the biggest for plot convenience. ToP was the only one where the concept had some decent qualities, but only if it were introduced either during the manga's original run or post-Z.
