How does Tenshinhan knows the level needed in which the body can resist a Kaioken x10?

Maybe Kaio tried to teach it to them but they were not sufficient enough to learn it. Tenshinhan might have figured out how to infuse it into the Kikoho seeing as he went from only cosmetically damaging Nappa to overpowering Semi Perfect Cell.

Kaio probably told him that Goku mastered KKx10. Makes no sense for Tien to just learn that on his own for several reasons.
