Honestly wasn't surprised after they literally made a guy who hoards broken legendaries just to prevent him from getting to the finals back in sinnoh. The best thing to do with the anime is to just stop caring about what comes of it. Nothing will.

Than there wouldn't be any reason to watch it. Watch Ash go through the same thing over and over again where he may or not be a mature/competent trainer, go through all that he did in Kalos or Sinnoh but for no pay off whatsoever and have the rug swept from under us every tiem?
