1. It was based on an uncontradicted statement by an in-universe character. Interesting how you say that i'm close-minded because i think that Krillin's opinion doesn't matter but you're disregarding a statement from the main character with ABSOLUTELY no reason.

2. Just like Base Gotenks is thought to be > Fat Buu and is confirmed not to be? Strange how Piccolo flat-out states that Base Gotenks is not enough, but don't do that with SSJ Gotenks. I WONDER WHY...
