How long will Toriko last?

The latest arc has made some developments in the main stages of the plot. However, with only 2 of Acacia's ingredients having been gathered (and the timeskip having started almost 2 years ago), it's a long way from the finale. Assuming the series reaches it's conclusion after Acacia's full course is brought together, it'll probably last at least 5 years if the pacing is very fast. I'd bank on it being closer to 10 though.

Wait, there's already a time-skip for Toriko? How many years skip?

Also I heard the author had an illness not too long ago. I hope he is good.

So 10 years??? That's really long.

Not sure how that was a scandal, considering 16 is the age of consent in Japan. From what info was gathered on the case, the girl was apparently an escort too, so not entirely Shimabukuro's fault.

Back on topic, yeah. Toriko's timeskip occurred a few years ago, yet the main cast still haven't obtained any more than 2 parts of Acacia's Full Course. Obviously with that pacing it'll take many years to complete, even more if there's a final arc after the Full Course of Life is gathered.

What is Gormet World? I heard it's 70% of the world of Toriko, and it's going to go there for the finale.

Gourmet World can essentially be considered what the Grand Line/New World in OP is to Toriko, the area in which the top tiers reign. The Human World is a bunch of continents equivalent to our Earth's entire land mass and the Gourmet World makes it look like nothing, in both size and it's beasts' power.

The main cast are already in Gourmet World, and have been so since the start of the timeskip.
