How Much Stronger Would Gohan And Vegeta Have Been If Their Tails Were Never Cut Off At The Beginning Of DBZ?

Does the Oozaru form multiply base power, regardless of the point in time?
Example: If Majin Vegeta still had his tail, how much stronger would he have been?

Or, would the tails have been eventually cut off somewhere, sometime, regardless?

Who has a tail who is a Super Saiyan? Do we have any canon account of this? Where was Broly's tail?

It seems quite likely that the removal of the tail is necessary to achieve Super Saiyan. That leaning on the Great Ape transformation makes the Saiyan's body not as desperate to grow on it's own.

I think Super Saiyan essentially replaces the Great Ape transformation, I view them both as the same boost lately. And Super Saiyan allows a Saiyan to become a Great Ape without a tail essentially.

Broly was able to become SSJ while already drawing upon the power of Ikari (humanoid Oozaru) so it's clear the two are different power ups and can be stacked. I go with AT's explanation for Kakarot where after you no longer need Oozaru (having surpassed a certain level) the tail no longer grows back after several to 11 months like with Goku and Gohan when they were kids

I always just assumed it had to do with age, instead.
It can't be age since Vegeta was 30 years old at the time of the Saiyan/Freeza arcs and said his tail should still grow back on its own when all his other injuries were restored in the healing chamber.
