How old were you when you were introduced to the series?

My first exposure to it was technically when my dad purchased (or was gifted) a copy of Final Bout in around '97 or '98. I was also watching VHS tapes of episodes like Gohan vs. Dabura and some Namek episodes. It wasn't until I was in 2nd or 3rd grade that I read the manga because it was also available for renting at my local VHS store. I've been discussing the series ever since, I guess.

When you watched Gohan/Dabura episode, did you think Gohan was SSjin or not?

I thought he was SSJ because I didn't even fully understand what the forms beyond it were at the time.

When I was 13 and they played the first "53" episodes on TV again and again.

Curiosuly I remember me mocking my friend when I was 11 for him liking DB. Since I took that as basically a kid's cartoon (which it kinda is lol) and I was silly I thought I had to bust his balls a little for that.

I started at the age of 6 with the Namek / Garlic Jr arc.

6 years old or close to that. I can recall #18 owning Vegeta and #17 making short work of Piccolo. Also Piccolo challenging #17 again and putting up a good fight, which I found difficult to make sense of since I didn't know about his fusion with Kami. Besides that, I remember a Cell Arc scene where Goku eats with Gohan before going off to train.

Since then, I became aware of some of the well-known elements of the series (i.e. Saiyans, SSJ transformations, drawn-out power-up scenes, etc.), but didn't care to watch it until seeing Goku's fight with Frieza in the Kai version, which I saw on TV after flicking through some channels due to boredom.
