I don't think so. Whenever a boost was treated as a multiplier, it was clearly stated (Oozaru, Kaioken). No such thing was ever said about Super Saiyan.
As in, it's been implied to be a multiplier. Like all of the time. When was it implied not to be a multiplier?

Guidebooks say it's 50x. Author says it's 50x. What evidence do you bring that suggests the author and guidebooks are wrong?

AT just agreed to what-ever the guide-book was saying. Seemed to me like he didn't even give it a second thought.

It doesn't feel right to me that a legend, a prophecy, a messiah, is just a multiplier tied to whatever the user's previous level is. It feels more right if it's something that gives access to a new pool of power (e.g. 150 million added).

Feels is not evidence though brother. And the legend is probably talking about Broly's version of Super Saiyan, not the one we see everyone use.
