How strong do you have 19 pre and post?

Pre I have him around SSJ Trunks from 3 years ago. Post I have him ahead of Yardrat SSJ Goku.

He shouldn't be able to stomp Mecha arc Trunks even after absorbing energy. I'd probably place him around the same level you've got him at.

What do you make of Gero acting like his maximum power was substantially increased? Would going from Trunks to Yardrat Goku level qualify as substantial?

I would think so. Vegeta on Namek considered going from 18,000 to 24,000 to be a vast power up. The gap between Trunks and Goku probably wasn't that large, but the precedent is there for a relatively small multiplier to one's power to be considered a substantial increase.

Highly doubt that. We're given no reason to believe 19 post is stronger than 20 post, and Piccolo was enough to destroy 20 post. I don't even have Piccolo equal to Sick Goku (at least initially).

I’m assuming pre and post is referring to absorbing Goku’s KMHMH? If so I put him around Frieza after absorption due to the fact that every villain is always relative/stronger than the previous in order to be a threat in every series.

Piccolo > 20 post > 19 post = Sick Goku.

I think 19 surpassed 20 when he absorbed Vegeta’s Ki, but that doesn’t really count.

Piccolo had a look on his face like someone had farted the moment Goku transformed. And Goku's power isn't said to have decreased since transforming until after firing that Kamehameha.

Why didn't he say anything immediately? Everyone else was creaming over Goku's power, but Piccolo stayed silent even though he was only outputting like 60% of his power according to you.

We come back to Piccolo’s reactions twice before he says anything, and he still asks Gohan to be sure. Doesn’t seem like anything as obvious as a power drop.

Piccolo starts his assessment by pointing out how Goku looks like he’s rushing the fight, but is still weak as shit. He probably waited to be sure Goku was going all out.
