How strong is base Goku?

This is a red hot topic when it comes to DBS, but I don’t think it was ever touched here in Zeta.

In the anime Goku absorbs SSJG’s power into his lower forms, but some people think it was retconned.

In the manga there’s no clear absorption and base Saiyans are featless. Is Goku barely stronger than it was in BoG?

I don't know if he did. Wasn't Piccolo not that far behind in the U6 tournament relatively speaking?

The way DBS works Piccolo could be 1000x stronger than before, or he could be 1000x weaker than Frost and hold his own via skill. The anime does suggest he’s Boo Saga level though.

If manga Goku absorbed nothing and SSJG remains the same multiplier from BoG, that makes the 10% line really awkward.

1 year and some months. Videl is already born when Freeza was revived.

Oh yeah and RoF happened in the manga too. No idea what do make of that, though. We just know Freeza was revived, the Dragon Team fought his army and Goku stole Vegeta’s kill.

I think it has more to do with Hit not wanting to kill Goku. Holding yourself back to a millionth of a percentage is hard, especially for an assassin like Hit who is so used to delivering fatal attacks to vital spots.

This is a tough one to accept at face value but with enough evidence sure.

one question comes to mind. If we retcon RoF Base Goku vs Base Freeza to what, SsJ Goku? Who is at least on par with Kid Buu, are you gunna have Base Freeza that weak? That’s really weak for Base Freeza ain’t it?

In the manga most of the Goku vs Hit fight has Goku using SSJ and it’s very competitive. In the manga Hit’s timeskip doesn’t work on people far above him, so

Nah I always thought this was a poor excuse for poor power scaling. Hit is entertaining himself the whole fight and wants to see what Goku’s capable of. He even asks him to just turn Blue after a while.

Yeah you are on to something here. That’s Beyond God stuff def seems retconned for sure.
