Yeah, so this means Oozaru isn't based off of enraged power. And normal Gohan is quite strong. 1,500 sounds perfect for him.
Normal Gohan is 1,500 when he arrives on Namek. In the meantime, he's trained for a few months in the spaceship. So on Earth he must be weaker.
Well he's around 1,500. He can be 1,750 on Namek without issue, that's still close to 1,500.

If AT wanted us to view Gohan as a 1,750 at this point, he'd have stated "1,750," not "around 1,500."

That statement had a different purpose, since we already knew the power levels. The purpose was to show how weak Vegeta treated that range of power.

I don't see why Non-Enraged Gohan has to be stronger than Weightless Krillin. Also, I think Krillin must get a bigger boost from removing his weights. How about giving him 1.125x (half the 1.25x boost Goku and Piccolo got by removing their weights)? My numbers are:
