How Strong is Trunks (vs Future Cell)

I subscribe to the idea that Future Trunks did some kind of training at least. This is coming off decades of the Androids wrecking everyone up so it makes sense for him to be cautious about future threats.

I'd say he's around CG Goku level, if not even early-Buu Arc Gohan.

Why do you think he was unable to achieve SSJ2 until fighting Dabura many years later?
