How Super Should Release To The West

Funimation should skip the first 30 or so episodes since they're trash and they've already dubbed them in movie format. They should start with U6 and dub everything after that. Then...

They should have a DVD and blu-ray release. All dubbed episodes, plus the two movies, plus "Dragon Ball Super: The Lost Episodes" which would be episodes 1 - 30 (or so) all subbed.

So basically, they cut out all that bullshit and have that bullshit as a bonus in the eventual DVD release.

It's an idea many people have proposed and I agree. Given how they treated GT, I can see this being possible. Mainly because of the movies.

Why should they go over the first two terrible arcs, re-dub them, and air a watered-down version of the films in which they had already dubbed?

Anyone interested in Super has probably watched one or both, or is at least familiar with the plot lines, so therefore airing the episodes would be unnecessary, extra work, and it'd all be ass. As Smoker said, people (especially the casuals) will lose interest with the horrid animation of episode five, so it'd just be much better overall to just start with U6.

Plus, for the collectors, having the first 30 as a DVD-only release will be more incentive for people to buy the DVD/blu-ray.

I agree with that too.... But even casual fans know what's up for the most part and wouldn't be lost....

Casual fans > hardcore "internet" fans like us > brand new fans...

Brand new fans wouldn't know any better.... Including original DB/Z... In similar fashion to how many western world fans pre Super started with Z over DB.
