How would old and young King Piccolo do in the 23rd tournament?

I'm not entirely sure on Old Piccolo. He'd mop the floor with Chaozu and Yajirobe. I'm not fully sold on Chi Chi yet so it's possible he could beat her as well. He probably loses to Cyborg Tao.

Young Piccolo is still relevant to the stronger fighters like Krillin and Yamcha. I'd have Krillin and Yamcha having a bit of an edge against Young Piccolo. Piccolo Junior was impressed by Krillin to the point where he said it won't be as easy to take over the world as he thought - though this is heavily contradicted later on when he's far superior to the Z Senshi with only a fraction of his power remaining...

Old neg diffs Chaozu and Yajirobe, and likely beats Chi-Chi.

I think Cyborg Tao rivals or is equal to Initial Young but Tao wins due to having better stamina or if not Super Dodonpa. FP Daimao one shots though.

FP Daimao is stronger than Yamcha but Sokidan would be troublesome and Kuririn would give him extreme difficulty.

It's probably unlikely Tao can tank Chaozu, whereas Tao can definitely tank Old Piccolo Daimao.

And remember, everyone at the 23rd Budokai is somewhat comparable to the Young King Piccolo, not the Old.

So Initial Young has to be represented in a way that suggest he’s at full power right off the bat. And Shenron should be above Old imo

Though I guess you could still argue the gap could be smaller. Piccolo loses lifespan when he accesses full power, so his new 40% exceeding that level could be enough for him to react this way.

Sure, that would probably be the minimalist view. But yeah, the numbers I have set portray the accurate feeling of how the story goes. King Piccolo feels head and shoulders above Old Pd.

King Piccolo’s muscles triple is size, bro is an absolute behemoth of muscle.

This is not an area to skimp imo, this is a time to give Young PD his credit where it’s due.

The lifespan loss is unknown and even Piano assumes it’s Piccolo’s full power.

Put it this way, King Piccolo’s Initial power should be substantial enough that one could presume it’s his actual full power, then the reveal that he’s on at 40% power is shocking and hits the narrative properly.

He needs to be completely established at full power initially and the. Boom, the shocker is added. It makes sense, right?

I got everything else figured out now at this point. 22nd Budokai and King Piccolo Sagas have been my strong point for a while.
