Actually I don't think there's anythiing really. Maybe some mangaka would like a more flexible schedule at time. Togashi has that, but I don't know if newer mangaka with health problems can publish in a more flexible way too?
I wonder if any mangaka write their full manga on the side and then just release it weekly/monthly? So that they don't have to comply with weekly releases in Shounen Jump/Young Magazine etc or monthly in Feel Young etc. There are biweeklies too, so maybe those are lower pressure, if the chapter lengths are the same as in a weekly. There are also webtoons, for which I know nothing about the schedule. Mob Psycho and One Punch Man were webtoons. Most of the best manhwa were webtoons (Lookism and Hive are two. Plus all the borderline-hentai manhwa).
One thing I wouldn't have is colour - at least it shouldn't be mandatory. That would kill the mangaka or cause delays, plus the colour doesn't always look good. DBZ and One Piece have good colour editions, but those were done later and probably coloured at a relatively leisurely pace - it would be a lot of stress to get it right on a normal manga schedule. Dorohedoro has some colour pages, but the black and white looks less messy. Tbf it's only one example of worse-in-colour. The only other colour pages I can think of are in Sweat and Soap, which probably looked good. Omoide Emanon had nice colour too actually. Still, it would kill many mangaka.
One thing that maybe should be better is translation notes in official manga. I've mostly read fanslations, but if it's anything like anime, the official translations will be missing notes explaining things and missing notes of what signs say. I prefer if the signs are translated in the same panel or right above it - rather than at the bottom of the page, which I think I remember seeing. This is the only thing I'd want to change. ALso they should get better translators. Gintama's manga has crappy fanslations and then a quite crappy Viz translation (which didn't even finish. The fuck? It stopped after volume 23, out of 77. Bunch of donkeys). WHy are the translations bad? Is it because they get people who are used to translating other, non-visual mediums, so don't bother translating signage? Or because they're not fans, so they don't think it's so important to translate signs or give notes? Sometimes fanslations choose the words better (maybe it goes the other way too?). Gintama's crunchyroll subs are objectively worse than the old fan ones, not even close (this topic is now about anime). MADAO>DORK (if you know, you know).
One other option is to have background music in manga. Some people would hate this though. There was a manhwa webtoon called Dice: The Cube That Changes Everything that used to have music on it. The music encourages people to read on the official sites.
Digital art has helped manga, from what I've seen on youtube. I've been surprised to find some stuff was drawn digitally.
