In the anime did Trunks get to keep his Genki-Dama power-up?

He was probably just referring to Trunks' SSJ Rage form and viewing it as nigh impossible another SSB tier opponent would just show up. Wouldn't make much sense for Trunks to keep the Genki power up when Galu's never been given such a privilege, even after absorbing a Genki-Dama's power to go Ultra Instinct.

Absolutely not. I'd imagine he wouldn't be fodderized by ghost Zamasu so easily had he kept it, anyways.

To be fair, it's heavily implied that Infinite Zamasu >> Giant Zamasu, given how much faps him as becoming one with the Universe, not to mention him having enough control over space-time as to be visible in the present timeline as well.

While true, I imagine someone who basically two-shotted (an admittedly destabilized) version of giant MZ would be treated with more :toei love than two drained base Saiyans

Weird I always got the impression that he seemed higher than Goku and Vegeta at the end of the saga. Maybe it was just because we got to see Trunks do the last really impressive thing out of the three.
