Should be a good match. I think Vegeta is probably further away from Cell than Zarbon was to him, but I think it can still be a good fight.

Dodoria and Zarbon can definitely beat Vegeta.

Trunks and Vegeta can put up a fight against Imperfect Cell.

Cell wouldn't be able to take out Vegeta before Piccolo has the chance to catch up to him. Cell's comment on Vegeta being stronger than he expected supports this.

If you read the title or the opening post you'd realize that this fight takes place outside of the manga, in a vacuum in which Cell tangles with Vegeta and Trunks without any outside interference. It's safe to say that goes for majority of the battles here in this section, noob.

Of course there isn't any outside interference, you missed the point. Cell didn't bother taking out Vegeta cause he would have held long enough for Piccolo to catch up to him. Therefore, Cell can't have a large advantage over Vegeta.

Cell cannot fight at all because he is hiding his ki from Piccolo. We don't know how he that fight would go based on Cell's actions and reactions to Vegeta. He just notes that Vegeta is much stronger than he expected. We later learn from Vegeta what he thinks about how he stands against Cell, he considers Cell's power absurd.

Vegeta would have been a tasty snack for Cell. Why didn't he just take him out in 30 seconds while he's off guard and then run away while hiding his ki again?

Cell is not strong enough to take him out in 30 seconds. You vastly underestimate how hard it is to escape. He needed to use a Taiyoken to get out of there the first time, that might not work for him again. He can't afford to take chances.

Also, Cell wasn't far away from Piccolo when he saw Vegeta so that too could be factor as well.

Cell's life in on the line, he's not going to risk fighting Vegeta.

An advantage of about 1.2x can easily defeat an opponent in 30 seconds or less imo.

That's simply not true, survival feats are at random and plot driven. There is no rhyme or reason for how long one can survive for. Cell most likely does not have 30 seconds anyway. They would be on top of him quick. Not worth the risk when he can absorb tons of people easily, Vegeta is extremely high risk.
