Initial Rose Black vs. Blue Vegeta - Anime

How do y'all look at this fight? Blue Vegeta looked like he was about to be on the ropes against base Black. Then suddenly he's catching Rose Black's punches, and even manages to overpower Black for a moment while landing quite a few blows. Then Vegeta gets SHANKED and Black rescinds his previous comments towards Vegeta, mentioning that those blows he took made him stronger. Where do you place them?

Base Black made massive gains after his fight with
SSJ2 Goku. Whether or not he gets up to Blue tier (which wouldn't make sense for him to be as Rose is portrayed as being a big deal and SSJR Black wasn't worlds above the Blues), he would have to be at least above the estimated full power statement Trunks made of him being equal to or stronger than SSJ3 Goku.

So perhaps equal to his manga counterpart? Which would make Rose a considerable power up without making SSJR Black too OP compared to SSB Goku/Vegeta.

So you think Vegeta was pummeling Base Black like the narrative suggests when Goku said it was weird seeing someone with the same face get smashed? I think Toei portrays it very poorly.

It's impossible to rationalize the fights in the DBS anime, especially in the Black saga.
Heck, SSJB Goku did worse against SSJ Rose Black and Zamatsu than fucking SSJ 2 Trunks... after beating SSJ 2 Trunks in SSJ3.
