Is #17 in SSJB Goku's level?

The YouTubers from my country openly disagreeded with it, saying it was only Goku testing his strength, basically a training and, therefore, it isn't enough to gauge #17's strength according to this. It wasn't a serious fight, just a test, then it isn't to be taken at face value. Do you agree with this line of thought? Or do you think #17 is indeed up there with SSJB Goku?

I agree with that line of thought, just as i don't see Ultimate Gohan equal to AscendedSaiyan Goku or close to SuperSaiyan Blue.

Everyone is welcome to their own opinions though.

Both of them were holding back but I don't think Android 17 is close to SSjinB Goku and he's probably weaker than SU Gohan as well. Remember, SSjinB isn't that far superior to SSjin like how initial SSjinG compare to SSjin used to be. SSjinB is just around 10x stronger than SSjin according to the manga so it's not a big deal.

Anime-wise, SSB is all about Ki control, regulating it better than the other SSJ forms, likely why Goku used it against Kuririn. Considering that, #17 doesn't really need to be stronger than SS2 Goku if you wanted, tbh.

Agreed with CC. I have yet to actually watch the fight, but just going off of what I know about Super Saiyan Blue, Goku could essentially be in the form yet be putting out effort/power equal to that of, say, his Super Saiyan 2 or 3, and it wouldn't contradict anything.

I'll watch the fight tonight though.

Just watched it. It did look like Goku was putting in noticeable effort to fend off #17, but at the end of the fight he wasn't out of breath or anything, so I don't think he was going 100%.

#17 was holding back too but I doubt that he's strong enough to rival SSjinB Goku.
