Is 450,000 a reasonable power level for Post-Zenkai Vegeta?

Krillin stated that Vegeta needed their power to win against Freeza, and he was talking about First Form. If Vegeta had a power level of 500,000 or so, why would such statement be made considering Vegeta was already extremely close to Freeza, and as i mentioned above, Vegeta has much more going for him like skills, experience, saiyan durability and etc.? Remember that Krillin didn't know Freeza could transform yet. And:

Chapter: 294 (DBZ 100), P2.2
Piccolo: “I feel an outrageously large ki far away…! Is th-this the monster called Freeza…!? There’s three huge ki close by…! That must be Gohan and the others…!”

If Vegeta was 500,000 and Freeza was 530,000, why didn't Piccolo say "two outrageously large ki far away"?

I thought Freeza was in his second form when Piccolo made that statement.

480,000 I can accept, but 450 seems kind of low since that's almost a 20% difference

Well, Herms lists this statement under Freeza's first form section.

@Papasmurf - 450,000 to 530,000 is a 15% difference. 500,000 seems too high imo, considering how Vegeta was sweating and breathing hard in their short scuffle, and Piccolo called Freeza's first form an "outrageously large ki" compared to Gohan and the others, which shouldn't be quite right if it was merely a 5% difference.

530 divided by 450 is 1.177777, or basically an 18% difference. Considering borderline 20% is shown to be a pretty large power difference in the series, it seems a bit too much here when Freeza couldn't overpower him, just force him to exert himself harder.

That's from Vegeta's side. For instance, if you have a power level of 800 and take out 10%, you wind up with 720, but if you add another 10% you only wind up with 792 this time around. It's the same thing. From Freeza's side, the gap would be ~15%

Most power level equations are multiplications of the weaker side. Like 18k Kui being 33% weaker than Vegeta, or Freeza gaining a 2x power boost when he goes from 530,000 to his initial 1mil+ level.

Well, you're right here.

Considering how easily Vegeta dominated Dodoria with a ~1.2x gap, I definitely see a 1.17x gap as too much. You can say Dodoria was suffering from a loss of Yuki (?), but Zarbon was also easily overpowered with a ~1.1x gap. Like papasmurf said, Freeza couldn't overpower Vegeta in their little scuffle, even though Vegeta's fatigue at the end of it indicate he was on the losing side

Was Vegeta able to overpower Zarbon? I remember them locking hands in the same manner?
