Is Masenko trash?

This beam never achieved anything. Enraged Gohan used it vs 2nd Form Freeza, while being strong enough to overwhelm and hurt Freeza with punches. If he'd used a kamehameha instead, he would have killed Freeza right there. No more SSJ God Blue SSJ bullshit in Super, just kaioken x10,000 instead. He only needs to make his attack 1.125x as strong as Freeza, to at least severely injure him.

Piccolo used it against Freeza, but it did nothing.

Gohan used it on Nappa, where it did require a little effort to block, but it was also mixed with Gohan's rage.

Piccolo is meant to be a master, but he can't come up with a better ki attack than the weak Masenko and the strong but slow Makankosappo? He's supposed to be a super intelligent 9-year-old. It's not like he didn't have time, while meditating at a waterfall for 18 hours a day.

Goku blocked Piccolo's Explosive Wave, Nappa didn't think much of the Makankosappo without charge time either, Android #17's barrier shielded him from the Makuhoidan, and Imperfect Cell tanked the Gekiretsu Kodan.

Goku and Vegeta are just better at Ki Attacks than Piccolo is.
