Finally starting comletely new material but since they haven't actually gone to the other universe or started the tournament it's hard to know if it will be good. Piccolo might fight in some matches and be relevant again.

I don't know if I would compare it to the original series at all. It's kind of its own thing, starring characters we are familiar with. But I am not an authority on the matter. Just my opinion.
