I've thought about this for a-while, but only now because of some-thing I saw today related to this.

There's No-Face from Spirited-Away:

Noh-Mask in Inu-Yasha:

Even from Digimon-Tamers slightly, but a different context & way, but at-least how it looks & maybe acts:

Is there a lore or some-thing I'm missing?

Last one seems totally different, since it has a humanoid body

They seem like Noh masks, which are used for otherworldly creatures

It does, but it’s still gooey & absorbs beings/thing IIRC & even takes their appearance IIRC.

Also it's not only the mask. It's the idea of absorbing & gooeyness & appearances. fufufu
