In case Jafar defeats the team, have Jafar freed. In the second Aladdin movie the Genie comments that by being free, he loses a lot of power and magic, however, not to a gigantic level, considering that he thought that some damage could cause Jafar Genie, until he realized that Jafar Genie is much more powerful than I expected.
