So, I've finished it. Overall a solid part, with the way Jojo oversmarted his opponents being well thought out and cool, plus the "your next line will be" joke was funny, althouh I found the ending a little disappointing with Kars basically turning into a generic villain by tricking Lisa Lisa. Granted, his goal was since the beginning obtaining the Red Stone, but besides not honoring Wamuu's spirit, it didn't give us the opportunity to showcase Lisa Lisa's skill in an actuall battle, which would've been better than reserving the final blow to the protagonist yet again.

A few other flaws I'd raise with the part would include the training gains. Even taking into account 50 years to improve the system, climbing an oiled up pillar for a month being vastly more effective than the years of training Hamon users needed to go through prior was fairly contrived. Also, the pacing for Caesar's death was pretty bad with how his backstory was placed immediately prior to it in a forced way to make the audience care more for him. Still a better handling of death than the melodrama of Part 1, but still far from being well handled outside of the aftermath for Joseph and Lisa Lisa.

Nevertheless, I'd say Part 2 indeed succeeds as a fairly good action story with a fast pace that helps show Araki's identity as a writer and ideas that deviated somewhat from the Shonen norm of the time. Whilst the support cast aren't given an awful lot with which to shine in the plot bar Caesar's death and Stroheim's return, they're still far better than the cardboard cutouts of Part 1 and the shift to a more tactical approach was very good, even if the actual strategies required a big suspension of disbelief. It's still one of the better parts of the series, at least in the top 4.

I agree with your points. Is the old man who appears at the end who is mad at Japanese ppl, Joseph Joestar?
