Not sure if this is the right section, but whatever.

Why the FUCK, is it that whenever there's a discussion regarding the ORIGINAL manga literally made by Toriyama himself, somehow DBS gets brought up for whatever reason... a show that came out 20 years later my dudes...

You guys take the DBS is the "true continuation of the manga" way too seriously. Little do you guys know, and I just recently found out about this, is that ever since Battle of Gods, 100% of the time Toriyama sends his plot notes through fucking email. He doesnt sit down with the crew to discuss how the story goes, hell he probably doesnt even know most of the guys from Shueisha and Toei.

So please, stop taking this "canon, non canon" shit seriously. Keep DBS discussions in its respective sections, while DB/Z stuff stays in here.

I completely agree. It seems more prevalent on other sites than here tbh, but I don't get the idea of Super re-writing the history of the manga. If Super wants to create its own continuation then fine, but the contents of the original manga are pure and shouldn't be tainted by such trash.

In my heart, Dragon Ball Multiverse is the true sequel of the manga.

Serious answer.

Like Supreme said, this forum hasn't been taking this canon or non canon stuff for a long time now. Maybe the other forums does.

All I'm asking is, please keep the DB manga within its own vacuum when we talk about it here.

I dont see anybody suddenly mentioning GT or the movies here, yet DBS gets a pass because the higher ups told you that its canon. You've been fooled by their marketing strategy boy.

I only bring DBS into canon discussion if it's the only evidence we have for a manga canon topic (eg. SSJ 3rd Grade compared to SS2) or as supplementary evidence for something after exhausting all manga points. I don't do so to place it on a certain level of importance, as I'd do the same for the Z anime, GT or the movies if they had some non-contradictive information on a topic worth sharing if the manga provided little to offer on a certain viewpoint. Beyond that, I fully agree DBS discussion should be treat as separate from discussing the original manga; the amount of plot holes and ruined character arcs Super would cause if using it as a true continuation of the manga being enough to make this apparent, not to mention the "canon" discussion on the DBS Manga VS Anime is convoluted enough and arguably neither seem to follow the manga when you have things such as Namekians now all having 5 fingers.

I sometimes bring one or other scene from Toyotaro's manga scenes if they tend to line up to the original content, but yeah, I do my best to separate both. I agree that what happens or doesn't happen in Super shouldn't sway our vision of the manga.
