You can have it at less than 2x, to give Piccolo more reasonable gains from the 3 years training.

Because the only thing I recall being stated was Daimao went straight to Earth and started wreaking havoc. Kami had many yrs to train while Daimao aged in a bottle.

I don't think it is. Apparently Kami could have potentially survived against the likes of Vegeta if he hadn't split, and now he's all of a sudden in the hundreds range.
