Piccolo at less than half-power is higher than Goku. Goku before Piccolo powered-up was actually winning.

ye, he knocked him down & then he said he could see now why his children were no match for him & then he powered-up (to using less than half-power)

Eh, I'm not sure. I've never liked Karin being too close to that Goku, so I'd probably still give it to Piccolo.

if not at that level, i think for sure that karin'd be at-least higher than yajirobe & master-mutaito

Probably Karin. Karin puts a great emphasis on Goku having surpassed even him, so I doubt he'd have been knocked down nearly as fast

Goku was seemingly unaware that he had surpassed Karin and thought that he would still be a good teacher implying that the difference was minimal. Goku was noticeably besting Initial Piccolo, so yeah Karin wins.

I have two distinct impressions about Karin's power : one where he is not so far ahead of Goku ( post Karin ), since the cat was having trouble to dodge Goku's attacks and other where he he is not far behind Goku's ( Post Piccolo Daimao ) power, since like Kenshi said Karin puts a great emphasis on Goku having surpassed even him. For this reason I like to have Karin ( Piccolo saga ) >>> Karin ( First appearance ) as old as it seems lol.

Assuming that is Karin during Piccolo saga I'd give this to him given the great emphasis that he puts on Goku surpassing him and because I think it's very possible Goku received a Zenkai after his first fight with Piccolo.
