I have Kibitoshin in his own tier in between the Boo arc SSJs and SSJ2s

Would it really have mattered if Kibito was on guard? No. He's over 50x weaker in strength and speed then Dabra. Had Dabra went for Vegeta instead, he likely would have got done in in the exact same fashion.

Akira Toriyama has stated that size doesn't matter, nor does the amount of people fusing. Anybody and any amount of people could fuse.

That's again some retcon bullsh*t from Toriyama nor did the characters even imply such a thing was possible, otherwise Piccolo'd just fuse with Goku and get the whole Boo ordeal over with.

Kibito was taken completely off guard by Dabra. This happens from time to time in Dragonball. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's clumsy.

Except Vegeta states it's because he was a bumbler, not because he was caught-off guard.

E.K's opinion shouldn't be completely reliable. Vegeta could have gotten absorbed at any point, but he didn't. Not because he was clumsy, but because Boo just didn't care.

I'd think that Kibitoshin wasn't powerful enough to be considered a factor.

Vegeta is apparently enough of a competent fighter to not get absorbed, I guess.
It's not like E.K. was expecting the two morons to fight Boo alone anyway, so if Boo were about to absorb Vegeta, Goku would stop Boo.

Nobody was aware that it was possible. It doesn't retcon anything. It just builds on previously established logic because it doesn't contradict anything.

I don't see how using the argument that 'Kibishin would probably get absorbed' has any relevancy towards how strong he is. Anybody could have gotten absorbed by Pure Boo, that much is obvious. So it shouldn't hold any authority in determining how strong Kibitoshin is.

That's an assumption.For all you know, he could have quickly transformed and dodged his blast.

Because if he is clumsy enough to get absorbed, then he's better off teleporting E.Kaioshin and Dende to safety.
Apparently, Goku and Vegeta aren't as clumsy and he thought they were going to fight together or use Fusion.

Nobody else transformed when Dabra rushed them, they were all situated in the same position. It's not an assumption. Nobody had time to react because everybody was in their base forms and too slow due to being 50x inferior to Dabra.

Vegeta's comment is not reliable because he did not do jack shit either.

That's assuming they couldn't have brought up their SSJ powers immediately after Dabra aimed at them.

Kibitoshin can suck it. I never thought he was SSJ2 level myself. Maybe ASSJ Vegeta/Trunks level at best.
