Actually, the raw translation seems to say that Piccolo is in the process of storing more power to surpass the original Daimaoh, not that he's already stored that much power.

Gokuu was about equal to Daimaoh, yet he still beat him. With Tenshinhan's help, granted, but why doesn't Kami just seal Piccolo away with Mafuuba?
