Kidd power speculation

Is he comparable to Luffy? We know his original bounty was so high due to killing civilians rather than actually opposing the government and actually impacting the world, so I don't know how he matches up.

Gear 3rd = Luffy mid difficulty. Gear 4th = Luffy destroys.

Not really based on evidence since there's not much to place Kidd high or low, just speculation.

I'd say Kidd pre timeskip is at Luffy's level. Post time skip he is a good deal weaker than Luffy imo.

Pre-timeskip, Kidd was probably a little stronger than Gear 2nd Sabaody Luffy.

Post-timeskip, he's featless, though given how he's being portrayed as a potential rival for Luffy, I'd say it wouldn't make much sense for him to be fodder to Luffy. Kaidou kept him alive, which may hint he sees potential in him. Via-hype/speculation, he's probably at least stronger than Gear 2nd Luffy, though saying anymore without evidence is a stretch.

It's either one of two cases.

He's a rival to luffy, and none of the worst generation are even close to taking down the yonkou.

or,

He's far weaker than luffy and his alliance never had a chance.
