Chapter: 133, P8.2
Context: after the Kikoho blows up the ring
Kame-sennin: “Ju-just as I’d expect, this is stupendous destructive power…There’s no comparison between it and the Kamehameha…!”

What? All Tenshinhan did was blow up the arena. Roshi blew up a mountain and the moon.

Roshi was probably more focused on the power behind the attack than the actual ring being destroyed.

Doesn't he describe the Kikoho as having incredible destructive power far above the KMHMH even before he fired it?

I think "destructive power" can be used to simply describe the power of a technique. Like how #18 refers to Trunks' blast, or Piccolo referring to Vegeta's blast on the Saibaman. Or even when Kaioshin says a half-powered Boo would have enough destructive power to kill all of them.

We all know busting a moon is far more impressive than destroying a ring. That's why I think the statement is more about the power behind the Kikoho, if anything.
