Uhh....I think they were normal SSJ, Vegeta went his buff mode against a Cell Junior but I think that was anime only :0

Debatable. The fact that Trunks went down to base after the fight with the Cell kids could imply that he needed a breather which would be unlikely if he had the form mastered. On the other hand, they both display FPSS auras (if I recall correctly) and Trunks definitely does when back in the future.

Most people just say they were "Semi-Mastered Super Saiyans", though I don't buy into that.
