I don't really see anything that suggests that these two can take out Tao easily. I'm definitely willing to give them the edge, but they take Tao seriously. They are able to keep up with Tien's speed, but as soon as he raises it, they lose him.

I think this is kind of like the 22nd Budokai.

Krillen/Yamcha v Cyborg Tao is the new Krillen/Yamcha vs King Chappa.

Although Krillen and Yamcha have good showings against Piccolo and Shen, it's unmistakable how they feel about Cyborg Tao. They consider him a problem, not some easy mark.

It's quite possible Cyborg Tao rivals them, though it's not necessarily. I say Yamcha stomps him.

Nothing about Yamcha/Krillen's actions suggest that they can stomp him though. They are concerned about Cyborg Tao. They have a serious face on the entire time. They show Tao's power respect, even though Goku is constantly shitting on it... As I said, I think Tao is around their level like King Chappa was around their level at the last Budokai.

I don't think Krillen or Yamcha can take him out all that easily. They are going to have to work.

I feel like they should be able to beat him, individually, even, although not easily. Tao couldn't land one hit on Tenshinhan besides the Dodonpa, and even then, Tien allowed it to hit him because he was confident he could tank it, which he did. Krillin and Yamcha on the other hand were able to land hits on Piccolo and Shen, who are far superior to Tenshinhan. Yamcha's Sokidan even went as far as to draw blood from Shen.

The situation changes if you think that both Piccolo and Shen were suppressing enough power to be below Tenshinhan, but I don't really think that's the case.

Tenshinhan doesn't loses his confidence on winning the 23rd after Yamcha and Kuririn are defeated though, so it's likely Shen (@Yamcha) and Piccolo (@Kuririn) aren't far above Ten.

No...

Tien (v Tao) is as strong as Piccolo (v Krillen) and Shen (v Yamcha).

It's not until Tien uses his real speed to some surpass that level.

I think that final punch Tien gave to Tao was his full power.

Kuririn and Yamcha win. Their concern for Ten facing Taopaipai doesn't say much when they hadn't even seen Tao's movements yet and were purely going by his hype. The only time we're given something substantial to go on with how Tao compares to the two is Yamcha's reaction to the Super Dodonpa, an amplified attack neither of them would just let themselves be hit by. Taopaipai should still be somewhat relevant to generate such a strong attack in the first place, but Kuririn and Yamcha can each win with mid or high-diff.

Agreed. He's stronger than people think...

Tien's Full power perhaps, but not his full speed.

Krillen and Yamcha think that Tien has grown too strong. I think I'm more comfortable with Tien being around Goku's level v PD. I don't think Tien displays his full ability quite yet.
