At last, did Goku start against Krillin with the same power he had ended against Chappa?
I'm waiting.  :mrgreen:Super Saiyan God said:Absolutely, Krillen's fake confidence means nothing in opposition to the wave of statements that go against it. Today I will actually post all 5 or 10 of those comments.
this can all be disproved easilySuper Saiyan God said:Yamcha- At last, the " Strongest under the heavens " martial arts tournament...
Puar- This time, Lord Yamcha, you will win!
Krillen- Don't forget I'll be there too!
Yamcha- Yes... To admire the fruits of my last three years of training!
Bulma- Ho ho ho... I hate to burst your respective bubbles boys...But you haven't forgotten about Goku, have you?
Oolong- Or that old man Jackie Chun!
This is just setting the narrative, Krillen and Yamcha have clearly powered up big time, but Bulma lets reality set in with her comment. It seems that Krillen and Yamcha are being a bit naive and overconfident.
Yamcha- Say...Do you think Goku's gotten stronger over the last three years>
Krillen- Who knows... He doesn't look too different...
LMAO ya'll niggas are so dumb...First sign of overconfidence... They actually think that Goku who swam from almost halfway across the world has remained at the same power! You fools!
Goku- I'm block 1! The second half!
Yamcha- Phew! You had me worried there for a second! I'm in the first half of the block!
Second sign of false confidence. Clearly Goku has no issue running into Yamcha, yet Yamcha suggests fighting Goku is the last thing he wants to do.
Krillen - Aw-right!!! We are all split up!!!
Krillen joins Yamcha in the pity party wagon in admitting complete defeat before it even starts. Sure, they want to wait for the later rounds to fight, but Jackie and Goku give no fucks about where they are placed at at all, this is true confidence.
Goku- Wow! You trained a lot huh?!
Yamcha- A little, yeah....
Goku- Wow! You're way better than three years ago!
Krillen- Oh ho ho! That was nothing...Just wait!
Goku watchs Yamcha and Krillen during their preliminary matches and notices huge upgrades for both of them.
2. Chapa, King [#22T#KCH]
Chapter: 114, P14.1-4
Context: Goku’s first opponent in the prelims is King Chapa.
Yamcha: “So that’s King Chapa, huh…? Poor Goku… To have to face such a tremendous opponent right away…”
Kuririn: “Who’s this King Chapa?”
Yamcha: “He’s said to be an incredible master…It seems that when he last participated, he won the entire tournament without once being struck by an opponent…!”
Kuririn: “Whoa…”
Yamcha: “Th-this could be bad… Of course, it is Goku… If he’s really on, he may squeak by…”
These sentiments are backed by Roshi, which Herms didn't include. ( This is the first Herms quote I'm using by the way. )
The entire narrative of King Chappa vs Goku is that of a serious nature. This is a tremendous match up. King Chappa is the determinant in exactly how strong Goku has gotten over the years.
Yamcha- I didn't think anyone could defeat King Chappa so easily!
Several more comments about not wanting to get lumped in with Goku and so on continue.
Goku called Chapa-o weak, but called Yamcha & Kuririn incredible. That's all I need to know.Super Saiyan God said:So basically the narrative has and always will be that Goku and Jackie Chun are beasts and that Krillen and Yamcha have been overconfident at times. Let see what you got.
Chapter: 115, P10.3-6
Context: Goku defeated King Chapa.
Goku: “I did it! I did it!”
Kuririn: “Be careful, Goku! If you put everything you’ve got into it from the start, you’ll wear yourself out!”
Goku: “But I didn’t put anywhere near everything I’ve got into it. If I did, he’d be dead. I wish they’d hurry up so I could fight with real strong guys like you all!”
Yamcha: “R-right… Hahaha…”
Jackie Chun (thinking): “Th-this could be bad…for me…”
Chapter: 117, P7.3-5, 8.1
Context: The first round of the 22nd tournament began with a ferocious exchange of blows!
Kuririn: “Wh-whoa…!”
Goku: “They’re both amazing--!”
Announcer: “Wh-wh-what happened?!! All that action…and so fast…!!!”
Yamcha (thinking): “I…I never imagined he’d be so good…”
Tenshinhan (thinking): “Interesting… Evidently he wasn’t just full of hot air after all… It’s been some time since I encountered such formidable resistance…”
