From the manga puristic point of view, does she have to be all that strong? Goku said she'll go pretty far in
the tournament. Is this evidence she's above Goten/Trunks?

Gohan came in around Krillin's tier, Goten/Trunks came in around Teen Gohan's tier, so I don't see anything wrong with Pan coming in around Goten/Trunks' tier.

In a Tournament that houses the likes of Goku, Boo and Goten, I'd assume she'd at least have to be capable of beating one relevant character to qualify as going far. Also, with the logic of each generation getting stronger as suggested with Goten/Trunks, it indeed has some bearing.

How relevant is she to Base Full Saiyans? (manga puristically)
Considering the kids were relevant to Gohan at Buu Saga and Goku/Vegeta didn't have much gain over the 10
years, can she also be somewhat relevant to them?
On the other hand, what did ''go far'' mean? In a tournament with so many participants and only 8-16 in the
finals, isn't even going to the finals considered ''far''?

In a tournament filled with fighters weaker than Mr. Satan, of course she would make it far. She wouldn't face any real competition until the quarter finals and that's assuming her opponent is one of the Saiyans or Boo.
