I just saw a list of ages, and encountered Master Roshi's age. Was it explained how he's over 300 years old?

There's contradictive evidence of the elixir existing. The Turtle says he drank it when he's introduced in volume 1, but Roshi himself says there is no such thing when he paralyzes Tenshithands in volume 13. There's a chance that longetivity just happens to run in those families.

If factoring Super into account there does seem to be some kind of life prolonging plant, but that's in a filler episode that Toriyama almost definitely didn't write.

The Fountain of Youth,[4] also known as the Immortality Elixir (不老不死の薬 Furōfushi no Kusuri, lit. "Elixir of Immortality")[5][1] or Life-Sustaining Potion (不老不死の水 Furōfushi no Mizu, lit. "Water of Immortality"),[6][3] is a mythical fountain with mystical rejuvenating properties, which has the prophesied ability to restore a being's body to its prime, or at the very least, prevent them from fatalities such as death.

Overview
The elixir from the Fountain makes those who drink it completely immortal, as it was said that its user would be incapable of dying at King Piccolo's hands.[3] It was first mentioned by Turtle, who argued against Master Roshi by stating that he had used the Fountain of Youth and therefore was not as close to natural death as he claimed.[1]

However, it is later revealed that Roshi had lied about drinking from the Fountain of Youth when he must confront King Piccolo, after he claims he drank from it to calm Tien Shinhan.[3]

In every form, it has no known users, and acts as a recurring lie used by Master Roshi to either explain his longevity or calm others who are worried for him. As a result, and depending on the source, the existence of the Fountain is dubious:

In the Japanese version of the anime, he claims it does not exist.[3]
In the original manga, Roshi states that immortality as a whole does not exist, implying he believes the Fountain to not be real either.[6]
In the English manga and Funimation dub, he simply states that he did not drink from it, making no statements about its existence."

maybe during the old anime era he was between 1986 to 1996 years old then in dragon ball super he was most likely 2015 to 2018 years old
