I don't see it as outweighing the other 9/10 per say, just as providing reason to increase the gap. The hand to hand is even, but that doesn't have to mean an even gap imo. And while the KHH didn't finish him off, it did significant enough damage to make everyone think the fight was over.
I don't have an issue with a lower gap, but I also don't have an issue with a rival range gap.
