To hold the blast like Freeza did, he'd have to have been at his 100% power, which isn't possible because he needs time to power up to it.

Didn't Babidi's measurement contradict the idea of SSjin being 50x when Goku transformed into SSjin against Yakon?

Sure, you could take that route. SSJ Goku was 3,000 and Yakkon was 800 even though Base Goku could fight with Yakkon.
