1. When Old Piccolo raises his power a little, he stomps Goku, but does not one shot him; on the contrary, Goku endures plenty of beating.
This indicates a gap like 1.2x On the other hand, his tanking KHH indicates a manyfold gap. This means either that Piccolo silently powered
up to tank KHH or that he used minimal effort to ragdoll Goku. In any case, i don't see why his ''less than half'' statement couldn't be referring
just to that minimal effort he used to knock around Goku. This way, we don't have to have 40% Piccolo many times above Goku...
Goku- 100
Old Piccolo (minimal effort/40%)- 120
Goku (KHH)- 125
Old Piccolo (tanking KHH/80%)- 240
Old Piccolo (max)- 300
Young Piccolo (80%)- 360
Water Goku (initial)- 400
Young Piccolo (max)- 450
Water Goku (max)- 480

There is no real indication that Daimao powered up to tank the Kamehameha. He didn't know what to expect from the attack until it was already in his face, and I don't think he can power up that quickly.

Only time he might've been close to full power was when he blasted Goku imo

Still, maybe, by ''less than half'', he meant just the effort he used to ragdoll Goku, which couldn't be more than 1.2x above Goku.

I've always thought of power and effort as two different things in Dragon Ball. For example, 50% Freeza was capable of beating up Goku without ripping his head off. This could be why Piccolo tanked the KKH but didn't one shot Goku. (That, and Goku is durable)

Yeah, but one doesn't have to mean chi output when talking about power. Future Seventeen could not modify his chi level, but he said
he used less than half his power, obviously talking about effort.

I think the case with 17 is a bit different, because he is a cyborg and functions differently than organic beings. Is Piccolo capable of suppressing his ki at this point? If not, you may have a point.

Your numbers are so bloated that i'm not sure whether you're trolling.
They are reality, maybe. :cage2 :cage2 :cage2

I'd maybe raise Initial Young to 15, though. :cage2 :cage2 :cage2

@2kewl4u Why is there such a large gap between Initial Young Daimao and FP Young Daimao? I'd have it be a x2 gap personally, but any reason why you have it so high?

Personally, I'd just like it to be high. 2x is already high, so why not have it even higher? :king :king :king Especially if you have so much space to work with. How high do you think is the difference between Old and Young?

I think the difference is around 5x. Some numbers:

Old Daimao (40%) - 4
Old Daimao (Max) - 10
Initial Young Daimao - 25
Full Power Young Daimao - 50

Piccolo making the ''less than half'' right after ragdolling Goku sounds like that was the power he was referring to. Besides, at this point of
the series, chi modification is still a foreign concept and all statements about power are still statements purely about effort.

Although in this case, if Daimaku Old Piccolo had struggled with her 100%, you would have had to turn in the same way he did when the young man turned.

The difference between Piccolo Daimaku Old (40%) on Goku (First Zenkai), was immense. Piccolo Daimaku was giving a horrible beating Goku, until the latter threw a Kamehameha, with intentions of hurting him, but Piccolo Daimaku not step absolutely nothing, even it seems that the Kamehameha was far from him the slightest damage.

  I've this:

Piccolo Daimaku Old (40%) >>>>> Goku (Kamehameha) >> Goku (First Zenkai Power).

Until Young Piccolo's power up sequence, the concept of chi modification was foreign to us readers. All the statements
about how much power one was using up to that point were statements about effort. In retcon, Old Piccolo could also
modify his chi. His silent (no sequence) power up increased his chi output to a level may times above Goku, but the
effort he was using was about 1.2x Goku and he made the ''less than half'' statement right after ragdolling Goku, so
i don't see why the ''less than half'' statement couldn't just be referring to that minimal effort.
