Oden vs Marineford Whitebeard

If Oden can clash against Prime WB and earn great respect from that alone, he can definitely beat a far weaker Whitebeard who's health prevented him from taking down any of the Admirals who fought him.

So the gap between the legends and the current Yonko is that big, huh? It still doesn’t sit right with me that Oden could lose to Kaido if he was that powerful. Marineford Whitebeard is stated to be the strongest alive, which should include Kaido. If Oden could wipe the floor with Marineford WB, he shouldn’t have trouble taking on Kaido’s entire forces imo.

It's probably best to wait and see how the Oden flashback concludes. I wouldn't have a problem conceding Oden's weaker than I give him credit for if he loses to Kaido in a fair fight, considering even being Yonko tier would be enough for WB to view him as someone his fleet commanders shouldn't try taking on and someone who'd impress him and Roger.

I find information conflicting so far. We see the Pirate King getting hyped up to test Oden’s power, and we see him clash with Prime Whitebeard. There is no doubt that he should be on that tier. However, Oda makes it sound as though it was such a huge feat to give Kaido 1 wound. Unless Kaido possesses Majin Boo level regeneration, I don’t see how he would only manage to wound him, and only once at that.
