Don Chinjao seemed to be stronger than Hody Jones based on both performances against Luffy (Jones seemed to rely more on toughness)... yet Don Chinjao has had a rough time against one of Doffy's officers (Lao G), who should be below all of the top tiers commanders. So I'd say Hody Jones would be no match for the top 4 (Vergo, Trebol, Pica & Diamante), maybe not even for the lower officers. It's also worthy note that maybe Luffy received a power up aftet his fight with Hody, as he needed a big blood transfusion.

Yeah you're right. Lao G vs Monet would be a nice fight. Monet made Luffy look silly and Lao G did the same to Chinjao iirc.

If Lao G didn't have Haki then without Monet's intangibility

Yeah, what I said might not come off as a good point since it was mentioned Don Chinjao couldn't put forth the same power as he did against Luffy. But I still think it's somewhat valid, since Sai needed a power greater than Chinjao's to break through Lao G's armor.

Isn't Mr.5's Akuma no Mi basically the same as Gladius'?

Most of the DFs of Doflamingo's subordinates were upgrades of Baroque Works DFs, hence why some consider Dressrosa as an obvious rehash of Baroque Works. For example, the Ton Ton fruit is an upgrade of the Kilo Kilo fruit, Jora's DF is similar to Miss Goldenweek's fruit, etc.

Most of Doffy's subordinates made Luffy use Gear 2nd, whereas Base Luffy was stomping Hody's peak power whilst at a battlefield disadvantage. The only way I see Hody beating any significant member of the Donquixote family is if the battle takes place somewhere where he can get them underwater, or if it's his anime incarnation who made Luffy use Gear 2nd before the bite. His durability is better than most of the non-seats, though enough consecutive damage from someone like Lao G or Gladion would be enough to take him down.

Hody pretty much had to continually eat more evil drugs to keep up with luffy each time he used more power.

He was pretty much a chump no matter who he was fighting

How One Piece's character has plot durability and generally will survive to anything annoys the hell outta me. It's blatantly clear when the OP's character won't die, no matter what the enemy does. These enemies are also pretty dumb, since they have the chance to do so, but doesn't land the finish blow. That's one of the reasons that somewhat prevent me from keep reading it, it's way too predictable and you know the characters won't die, and all of Oda's attempt on messing them up will lose all of its impact because of this. Honestly that's one of the reasons I prefer Hunter x Hunter over One Piece. It's way more climactic, while One Piece does seem a hystory for fools sometimes.

Why did Sanji replied in such way, like he did Chpper's history was associed with him being called monster? Unlike the anime, he didn't hear Chopper's history in da manga:
