I think all power level lists should include this power chain. I think it's super important and a great limiter in how much improvement you want to give to the characters in the early sagas.
I think that is what happened. However, I don't think if Gohan had been awake that he'd want any smoke from Goku. I think the narrative is that Gohan was crushed to death, but he'd always have been beaten to death if he tried to fight him.Generally in agreement with this but does it have to be the case? Couldn't Goku have crushed him in his sleep?
I'm sure Gohan did some regular maintenance training. I think he was recruited to be the strongest person for Baba's team, I don't think he was the weakest and had to train himself up Rocky style. So do you think Gohan trained in the afterlife somehow or are you going extreme minimalist for early DB? I'm looking at my list and I'm not seeing how it could be a possibility to keep the entirety of the 21st Budokai gains, and then having to surpass Tao Pai Pai on top of that - and still end up below Oozaru Goku.
You can one shot someone with a 1.5x advantage. Krillen punches his old training mates through a wall, I got it at a 2.5x advantage, I think that's enough.I guess my issue with that is the gains from BoDB to the 21st. Goku could tell in the prelims that he and Krillin had become so much stronger that they purposely needed to hold back the majority of their power. Doesn't that sound like much more than a 3x gain to you? Even while holding back that much of their power they were still one shotting the preliminary opponents.
Can I see your levels for the BoDB and the 21st? How do you space out the likes Bacteria, Yamcha, Giran, Krillin, and Namu within that range? You can one shot someone with a 1.5x advantage. Krillen punches his old training mates through a wall, I got it at a 2.5x advantage, I think that's enough.

The gap between Initial Chun and Yamcha should be larger given Chun was dodging him while barely trying and oneshotted him with a wave of his hand.Orin Temple Bullies 40
Yamcha 60
~ WFF 70
Krillen 75
~ FP 100
Giran 90
Namu 140
Goku 110
~ W/ Tail 150
Jackie Chun 80
~ More Effort 100
~ Full Power 150
The gap between Initial Chun and Yamcha is 100 to 60. It's his level of effort that is 80.The gap between Initial Chun and Yamcha should be larger given Chun was dodging him while barely trying and oneshotted him with a wave of his hand.

It's not that bad, I just worked it out the other day with GSM. Check it out.
Goku 50
Roshi 150
21st Goku 150
Mummy 160
Devil Man 250
Tao Pai Pai 340
Gohan 360
Goku 375
Oozaru Goku 500
See? It all fits.

So with minimal effort he is an 80, but his actual level is 100.
Vegeta vs Recoome? It has been a minute since I have seen that fight but from what I remember Vegeta did land a few hits that Recoome looked genuinely surprised by, and Vegeta did take a elbow to the head I believe.Yamcha was only one shot because he was knocked out of the arena, otherwise he’s fine. He’d definitely get his shit wrecked in a fight to the death, but it doesn’t look like anything Recoome couldn’t do to Vegeta.
Yeah, which should be an example of how we are to think about such things in the future. For example like Goku vs Ginyu Force, I bet there is a reoccurring theme that avoiding punches like that doesn't require a full calling of his power, but Goku uses a lot more effort when he attacks. How does that work? The dodging alone is a 1.33x, and the lack of effort makes it a 1.66x?
Exactly, which is why I apply the same gap towards those two fights.Yamcha vs Chun looked almost like Goku vs the Ginyu Force. Chun was barely moving yet Yamcha's base speed couldn't even touch him, not even with his WFF.
Getting physically forced out of the ring because Roshi merely waved his hand is a pretty huge feat. I really don't see the likes of Recoome being able to do that to Vegeta. This should imply a massive gap, so much so that the other fighter is literally untouchable.Yamcha was only one shot because he was knocked out of the arena, otherwise he’s fine. Reecome couldn't. But Goku could do it to the Ginyu Force.Getting physically forced out of the ring because Roshi merely waved his hand is a pretty huge feat. Sure, but I'd argue with far more effort.Reecome couldn't. But Goku could do it to the Ginyu Force.
