I don't disagree entirely, I just feel like the fact that Goku regarded Karin as someone he could learn from should almost overrule the feats from their training session. I think it's worth noting that Karin was aware of why Goku wanted the training in the first place. I don't think Karin was going to go all out and make it physically impossible for Goku to finish the training in a timely manner. Don't you find it convenient that Goku's training ended when he was just strong enough to beat Tao Pai Pai? Maybe Karin was using Tao Pai Pai's power as the level that Goku had to surpass.

Ahill, do you think guys like Bacteria or Ranfan could be really human level, like Satan level? They have nothing going to them, specially Ranfan who relied mostly on beauty. Makes it more realistic that Satan could win these tournaments.

Well, Yamcha said Bacterian possesses considerable power and Ranfan could hurt Namu... so I'd put them over Mr. Satan at least. I had even forgotten about Ranfan when doing the list lol.

But Yamcha only started doubting his chances of winning when Kuririn and Goku showed their powers. Bacterian is strong, but even with his smell he shouldn’t a threat to Yamcha.

Ranfan is a tough one. She’s probably stronger than Bacteria, and even has a better feat than Giran by hurting Namu. She does get taken out with a light chop though…

That was back in the preliminaries still. He also apparently didn't see Kuririn's performance, Goku saying that Kuririn training with him was what made him adamant about his chances.

Yeah, she also dogged an attack from a serious Namu... Namu took her out easily yeah, but it's also worth noting that he hit in a pressure point.

Point is, Kuririn’s power had Yamcha insecure about even taking 2nd place. Yamcha supposedly knew Bacterian’s power, but didn’t fear him.
