Personal Analysis of SSJ3 Goku vs Kid Buu (Anime)

The fight began with Goku dominating, but at this point it has just started.

Goku and Kid Buu trade blows and fight evenly for a while.

Goku couldn't watch Kid Buu's movements and Kid Buu is shown mocking him. Vegeta also states he has terryfying strength.

Kid Buu receives a Kamehameha from Goku and Goku went back to his base form.

However, Goku is acknowledged to be able to fight Kid Buu.

Goku and Kid Buu are evenly matched and he can make Kid Buu get angry.

Goku is able to recognize that the situation was difficult and that he could have defeated him when he was Vegetto, but Kid Buu was as if nothing. Goku's attack doesn't bother Kid Buu.

After analyzing the fight, I can say that Kid Buu was slightly stronger than Goku in a 95/100 gap, although the only time in which Kid Buu proves superiority is when Goku is unable to watch him as Goku was far too drained when his attacks doesn't affect him.

That's a good take. In the anime, Vegeta never said that Goku and Kid Buu turned out to be stronger than what he imagined, just that they were far out of his league. Although, it is interesting to think how two versions are that different.

SSJ Goku could've killed Suppressed Perfect Cell despite of being weaker in stats. Actually, he did indeed kill him because his core was destroyed.

If his core was destroyed, he couldn't have regenerated though? Am I misremembering something?

His core is his head and his head got destroyed. Cell regenerating is just an inconsistency in both manga and anime media, as said by Cell and Piccolo later in the Buu Saga (as his regeneration come from Piccolo's cells).

It is headcanon, but a commonly accepted one. As far as the story itself goes though, it’s a plothole.

Fair enough. Going by the anime, Boo could even push back the Genki-Dama. Granted Goku didn’t have the stamina to throw it, but pushing back a Genki-Dama is no small feat.

But, that is not something backed up, Cell explains that as long as his head ain't destroyed, his body can regenerate. Which is the same case with Piccolo.

Also, it is interesting to think that when Gohan kills Cell, his main cell is shown getting destroyed in the beam clash.

Is it possible that his head was destroyed by Goku, but the nucleus was still intact? I think the Kakarot game also plays with the idea of Cell having lied about his core.

His nucleus is his head and without his head he can't regenerate. Don't know what Z Kakarot has to offer.

It's still constantly said that he can only regenerate due to Piccolo's cells to Android 16 and Vegeta.
