First of all was Piccolo-Daimao getting some-thing thrown at him, but is like "wtvr" in the manga, if not it's at-least in the anime?

Second when Piccolo Jr. first appears post-time-skip in the anime he saves a child & the mother (November 9, 1988), but the manga at that point was just at the start of the fight between Raditz & Goku & Piccolo (November 8, 1988).

Did Toei know or was this just a co-incident? Either-way interesting.

What? I didn't know the anime was still in the 23rd Budokai when the manga was already on the Z events. Is that right?
Yeah, usually the anime is further behind, but being at the beginning of the 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai & manga being at the beginning of the Saiyan-Saga is quite a-bit. Some-times it seems like the anime can lead to some un-intentional consitency/fore-shadowing (not quite the word I think I think I think but you know) perhaps even in some other animes IIRC.

A similar case was when Itachi's voice actor read farther in the manga and saw that Itachi wasn't really evil and began portraying him too softly where the anime was at, when he was still portrayed as a villain
